Antigonish a poem by Hughes Mearns

Yesterday upon the stair

I met a man who wasn’t there

He wasn’t there again today

Oh, how I wish he’d go away

When I came home last night at three

The man was waiting there for me

But when I looked around the hall

I couldn’t see him there at all!

Last night I saw upon the stair

A little man who wasn’t there

He wasn’t there again today

Oh, how I wish he’d go away

……………………………………………………………

but if he went away I wouldn’t have any company (comment)

  1. I think you should credit things a bit better. πŸ™‚ Just a thought.
If I don’t know that someone wrote it, I’d think you’d be the author as people simply put crazy titles.

  2. agreed, it was like the first thing I put up. And I’m so very new to computers and especially blogging, so it was more of just a test run really. But I’m starting to get the hang of it so I’ll go back and fix it up, as to not confuse, or take credit where it is not due….

Say hello, share your brain thoughts............
